Shir Mor
Shir Mor is a national security, counterterrorism, and Middle Eastern affairs expert.
As a member of ITSS Verona, an association focused on international security research, Shir is a researcher at the the Iran desk, where her work addresses Iran’s strategic influence, foreign policy, proxy networks, nuclear policy, and evolving relations with Israel and the wider Middle East.
Previously, Shir interned at the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism (ICT), where she engaged in diverse research projects and reports on national security and defense.
She is an intelligence analyst specializing in OSINT (Open Source Intelligence), with experience in information gathering, risk analysis, strategic asset protection, and intelligence reporting.
Shir holds a BA in Government, Diplomacy, and Strategy, specializing in Middle Eastern affairs and counterterrorism, and an MA in Counterterrorism and Homeland Security, both earned with highest honors from Reichman University.
She served in the IDF’s intelligence unit.
Before her IDF service, Shir represented Israel as a young emissary in the U.S., where she strengthened connections with Jewish communities and countered anti-Israel delegitimization. For over a decade, she has been an Israeli activist dedicated to promoting Israel’s legitimacy across various platforms, combating antisemitism, and debunking misinformation and propaganda.
As an Iran researcher, Shir co-founded the “Israel-Iran” community, a virtual platform that examines the deep cultural and historical ties between these nations and analyzes the opportunities and challenges in a post-Ayatollah era. She also co-lead a virtual initiative born of the Abraham Accords, fostering connections between Israelis and citizens of signatory nations, particularly the UAE.
