Keren Sasson

Regional security (with an emphasis on contemporary Middle East), regional order, terrorist organizations and militaries (with an emphasis on Hezbollah), strategic culture and leadership studies.

Dr. Keren Sasson is an expert in international relations and security studies. She has served as a lecturer at the Hebrew University in the Department of International Relations, where she taught a range of courses, including those on the strategic culture of terrorist organizations and the role of religion in international relations.

Her research encompasses regional security, the evolution of security perceptions, leadership studies, and strategic studies within the contemporary Middle Eastern context.

Keren holds a PhD from the Hebrew University. During her postdoctoral studies, she was hosted at Cornell University in the USA, where she conducted research on the strategic culture of Hezbollah and analyzed the operational code of Hezbollah's Secretary-General, Hassan Nasrallah.

In recent years, Keren has been advising the Ministry of Defense and research bodies within the security establishment on strategic and military matters, particularly concerning the northern arena and Hezbollah.

Throughout her career, she has published numerous studies and participated in leading conferences in her fields of expertise.

Keren is fluent in Hebrew, Spanish, English, and Arabic.
