Gabriela Shalev
Law, international diplomacy, Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Israel and the UN.
Prof. Gabriela Shalev is currently a senior faculty member at Ono Academic College and Chairperson of the Committee for the Appointment of Professors of the Israeli Council for Higher Education, in the fields of Social Sciences, Management and Law.
Prof. Shalev served as Israel's Ambassador to the United Nations- the first women to fill this position.
Prof. Shalev was a member of several public organisation and committees (including as Acting Chairperson of the Israel Broadcasting Authority; a Member of the Board of Governors of The Jewish Agency and a Member of the Committee for the Formation of Ethics Regulation for Members of the Government).
Gabriela was also a member of several business boards (including Bank Hapoalim, Hadassah, Koor Industries, Osem and Teva). Until 2002, Prof. Shalev was a full Professor at the Faculty of Law at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and taught as a visiting Professor in several universities in Europe, Canada and the United States.
She has written eleven books and more than 100 articles in Hebrew and English, mostly on contract law.
